SHARON OSBOURNE: Talk-Show Cancellation Was 'Blessing In Disguise'
February 6, 2004Sharon Osbourne has told Star magazine that the cancellation of her short-lived chat show was a "blessing in disguise."
"The Sharon Osbourne Show" debuted in September, but recently ended production because of dwindling ratings.
"Sure, I was upset at first — no one wants to have their show cancelled — but in some ways it's a blessing in disguise," Sharon said.
"I was beginning to think that with all the time the show was taking up in my life, I never got to see my husband anymore, and I never got to spent much time with my family."
Sharon, 51, admitted her feelings were "hurt," but she added, "I would have liked to have said, 'I really don't want to do a second season anyway,' but they didn't give me that chance. I'm a big girl though.
"Now I can finally spend time taking care of Ozzy. He's doing much, much better. Every day he heals more."
Once the show wraps in May, Sharon plans to take a long vacation before hitting the road with her husband on his annual Ozzfest tour, according to TeenHollywood.com.
